Blackberry Priv gets price cut in Canada

Less than a week after BlackBerry CEO John Chen hinted that the Priv may receive an official price cut early next year, the device's price has been slashed in the company's home country of Canada.
Local carrier SaskTel is now selling BlackBerry's debut Android phone for CAD 250 (around $180), which is down CAD 150 from its usual price of CAD 400.
Although the offer is available on purchases made through the carrier's website as well as physical stores, the device is currently out of stock online. Other Canadian carrier's such as Rogers are still selling the Priv for CAD 400.
The price cut also comes just days after Chen said that the company could launch a second Android smartphone.

Google Pixel C tablet makes it to the UK, yours from £399

After having become available to purchase in the US yesterday, Google's Pixel C tablet is now also up for grabs in the UK. As is always the case with these things, the pricing is different across the pond. In the UK, the 32GB version of the tablet can be yours for £399, while the 64GB model goes for £479. The two keyboard docks - regular and folio - are both sold separately and priced at the same £119. The Google Store offers free delivery for your order, and if you buy a Pixel C it will be shipped in 1-2 working days. Don't call it XCOM. I played through The Bureau: XCOM Declassified 's entire floundering tactical shooter campaign wondering how it planned to pull off a plausible prequel backstory to the freshly rebooted XCOM universe. When I got to the end, it didn't even seem to try, content to let us wonder why this 1960s version of XCOM didn't bother to tell 2010s XCOM (of XCOM: Enemy Unknown) that hostile aliens exist and that there's a closet full of working plasma guns somewhere. Not making sense doesn't seem to bother The Bureau, either in story or in its flawed attempt to use permanent death mechanics and strangely shoddy construction. But it sure bothered me. ...
