Samsung is working on a Pro variant of the recently-launched Galaxy A9 smartphone, according to a new report. The variant carries a model number of SM-A9100, and is aimed at the Chinese market.

The report also notes that development for the device’s firmware is currently in progress. As for the specs, there's no word yet, although it'd be safe to assume that it'll have at-least some bumped up specs compared to the regular model.
Sporting a 6-inch screen and packing in a 4,000mAh battery, the A9 was made official last month. It went on sale in China earlier this month, carrying a price tag of around $490.
