5.8-inch OLED iPhone 8 might be delayed due to 3D sensing troubles

We're being led to believe that there will be three iPhones come this Fall, and a new rumor suggests that the one you'll want may show up a month or two later than usual. The range-topping 5.8-inch iPhone 8 (if Apple doesn't come up with a different name) may be pushed to an October or November release due to issues with the 3D sensing tech that's set to debut on it.
The 3D sensing is Apple's augmented reality tech that will gather images from the front and back cameras and a dedicated infrared sensor to be used for 3D selfies and in games that will be developed to utilize it. That's only going to be present on this iPhone 8, and not on the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus (again, if those end up being the final designations), so those two will be able to follow the usual launch cycle.
The source also states that only the iPhone 8 will feature an OLED display, while the 7s's will be LCDs as until now, which seems to the consensus between people in the know. Is Apple being a bit optimistic about the number of sales of the iPhone 8 with that order for 70 million OLED panels from Samsung?
Smart Connector on the iPad Pro Meanwhile, the rumor for a Smart Connector on an iPhone marks a return, this time coming from an Israeli tech blog. The folks there say that it will enable the connectivity for VR/AR applications, as well as charging. Instinctively, we know that Apple will eventually get rid of all ports, but maybe we're not there just yet.

Galaxy A9 Pro international variant is now Bluetooth certified

The Samsung SM-A910F - which is alleged to be the international variant of the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) - has now received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), indicating an imminent launch. This comes just a few weeks after the handset (both standard and dual-SIM models) received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA). Prior to that, the phone was spotted on India's import/export tracking website Zauba. Sadly, pricing and availability details of the Samsung SM-A910F aren't yet known. iPhone SE teardown shows hardware ranging from iPhone 5 to 6s

The Apple iPhone SE is a 6s in a 5s body, but Chipworks dug into the internals and it turns out the story is more complicated than that. It straddles multiple generations - from the iPhone 5 selfie camera to the iPhone 6s chipset, a whopping four generations. The Apple A9 chipset is brand new and the SK Hynix-made LPDDR4 2GB memory matches the 6s as well. The NFC, audio chips and motion sensor are from that generation as well. The storage appears to be from the 6s as well, but an earlier 19nm chip instead of the 15nm being shipped now. The Qualcomm modem from the earlier iPhone 6 model while the touchscreen controller goes back to the iPhone 5s. 12.2-inch version of the Lenovo Yoga Book with Android shows up at Amazon priced at just $299.99

At IFA last year, Lenovo turned some heads with its Yoga Book, a 2-in-1 laptop / tablet hybrid that doesn't have an actual physical keyboard. Instead, its so-called Halo Keyboard is flat and doubles as a writing surface, complete with predictive input and autocorrect functionality. So far the Yoga Book has been available with a 10.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, running either Windows or Android. A model with Chrome OS on board is coming this year, but also a bigger one too. While the Chrome OS Yoga Book has been confirmed by Lenovo already, a 12.2-inch Yoga Book has been listed by Amazon without any proper official introduction. HTC One (M8) for Windows now available on Amazon for $50

Verizon's HTC One (M8) for Windows is now available for purchase at Amazon US. It costs just $49.99 with a two-year contract. You can get the contract-free (but Verizon-branded) model for $599.99. The smartphone went official a week ago as a Verizon exclusive. Its hardware absolutely identical with its Android-powered sibling - the HTC One (M8) flagship, but runs on Windows Phone 8.1. As we already know n the HTC One (M8) for Windows will be a limited time exclusive, as AT&T has already confirmed it will be selling it later this year. Today various reports suggest the phone is coming to T-Mobile and Sprint, too.
