Everyone expected Apple to announce three new iPads in the beginning of 2017 but it looks like we might need to wait a little longer. We already heard Apple tablets will arrive in the summer and now new reports confirm that info - the 10.5” and 12.9” iPad will arrive in May. Insiders from TPK Holding, Foxconn and General Interface Solution spoke of delayed production and release of three new iPads. The plan for Apple was to announce a 9.7” entry-level iPad with A9 CPU, a new 10.5” iPad and an upgraded 12.9” iPad Pro, the latter two powered by the upgraded A10X. As for what we can expect with the new iPads, an investor note from KGI claimed that the 12.9” iPad Pro would be an iterative update over the first generation model. The spotlight will actually be reserved for the new 10.5” device with narrow bezels and thus similar in size to the 9.7”. Google has announced that it's pulling the plug on Spaces, a small group sharing app the Mountain View, California-based company launched last year. The app, which allows people to instantly get together and share around any topic, will be shut down on April 17. But before that, it will become read-only starting March 3. "This means you can't create new spaces, posts or comments," Google explained in a blog post. "Also, new invitations can't be sent, and new members can't be added to spaces." Source 1 2 | Via

Sony's Xperia Ear accessory has started receiving a new update that bumps the companion app to build number 1.1.0.A.2.1, and brings along a host of improvements. Prime among them is the ability to read alerts and provide notifications for any app - previously, voice notifications only worked with a handful of apps including SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Line, Email, Gmail, Twitter, Calendar, and News Suite. In addition, the update also includes new head gestures. "Users can now accept and decline calls with a nod or shake of the head, cancel notification read out with another head shake, and even shake their head left/right to skip music tracks forward/back," the company explains in a blog post. And finally, the update also brings along a new email filter that allows users to set rules describing which emails are to be read out via voice notification, based on sender or subject. Google’s Allo was a highly anticipated alternative to Google Hangouts. Finally, users would be able to use Google’s new predictive messaging platform, complete with the (new at the time) Google Assistant. Something that upset many users coming from Hangouts was the inability to use the service across multiple devices, or at the very least, on a desktop computer. Well, Google’s own Nick Fox has tweeted a sneak peak of a web-based client for Google Allo. He mentions the product is still in early development, so that could mean we wouldn’t see the web client for another several months or so. Allo hasn’t really stuck as much as Google probably wanted it to. It fell off the top 500 apps in the Play Store not too long ago. Not to mention, there are already far too many alternative messaging services available.
